Notes
Longstone is a townland in Whitechurch about 10 miles north of Cork City.
Newgrove is nearby, though not officially a townland. It is part of Slievedothia also in Whitechurch.
Knocknasuff ( the priest's handwriting is almost illegible, this is my best guess) is located 2 miles north of Blarney.
Whitechurch is a civil parish, recognised by the state as a unit of territory. It is part of the Catholic parish of Blarney. It is most likely the marriage and the first two baptisms took place in Whitechurch church, while that of Denis took place in Blarney (Waterloo) - there was no Catholic church in Blarney village until 1894. |
