This was written by Alan Trevarthen
"The Wesleyan Chapel, Wall, Redruth.
Redruth is just the name of the Registration District. The Village of Wall is about 11 kilometres SW ot Redruth.
Wall is the biggest community in Gwinear Parish. It is the cnetral section of an ex-mining community in
Gwinear Parish. It is the central section of an ex-mining community comprising Carnhell Green, Rosewarne,
Wall and Reawla, four villages stretching for two and a half kilometres along a road running alongside
the main load of the Rosewarne and Herland tin and copper mine which was the main reason for the Community.
I think the village of Wall got its name because of a long wall that once existed there and dated from
prehistoric times"
