Bridget and Annie Ryan, two sisters, migrated to Australia from Ireland middle of the 19th Century. because Annie (my grandmother) had TB and it was thought the warmer climate would cure her - which it did, (Bridget was much older than Annie.) Michael Connor and James Boyden came out from England to fight in the Maori wars in New Zealand. Eventually they were posted to Victoria Barracks, Sydney, outside which establishment they met the two Ryan sisters, Michael Connor's married Bridget (your great, great grandmother) and James Boyden married Annie (my Grandmother).
From the accompanying Family Tree you can work out the rest. Hope I have spelt Bridget correctly - I'm not sure if it has a "d" in it or not. I don't know Connor's Christian name. Your mother might know that. Yours, about to take Vincent's Powder to get over the strain, Al. Please don' judge my typing by this, as it has been done in a hurry. Al.
