John and Daniel went to America and I think it was Daniel who worked in Florida and John worked in Toronto Canada, he may have been an architect. After John was demobbed out of the Navy during the war and stayed in our home one time. Daniel was in the Navy too. John stayed with us in Cork, to have a bit of a holiday before he went back to Manchester, while he was here he met his future wife she was a Callanan, they lived up around St Rita's Ave Gurranabraher. He went off to Canada it would have been around the late 40's and came back and either got married and went out to Toronto or went out to Toronto and got married, Kathleen was her name. Her brother was a Plasterer Mark Callanan and he died in 1949 he was a young guy. Louie was in Manchester all the time, I was at her wedding I was a boy in short pants again it would have been around 1948. I remember we had to go by train to where ever the wedding was I was with my Mother and Joan, she married a protestant, and it may have been outside of Manchester I was about 9 or 10, it was in the country side.
Damien was raised by his paternal grandparents until he was six and was then sent to England. [2]
