OBITUARY
MR EDWARD CONNOR
It is with sincere regret that we
have to announce the death of Mr.
Edward Connor, a well known and
highly respected citizen of Harden.
Death took place in the Murrumbur-
rah-Harden District Hospital on
Monday night last from and attack
of pneumonia, The deceased was
ill for twelve days.
The last Mr. Connor was 44 years
of age. He was born in Sydney,
and at the age of four years came
with his parents to Harden, where
he resided ever since. He was the
youngest son of Mr. John Connor
and the late Mrs. Connor of Lakem-
ba, formerly of Harden. Besides a
sorrowing widow, he leaves one
daughter Agnes. He is also surviv-
ed by four brothers and three sis-
hers. The brothers are William
(Abermain), Frederick (Newcastle),
Michael (Sydney), and John (Lakem-
ba); the sisters all residing in Syd-
ney, being Catherine (Cis), Mrs.
Frank Davis and Nellie.
The deceased was a good quiet
industrious man, and was highly
esteemed by everyone. He was a
baker by trade. He was also a
very capable musician, and some
years ago used to play the Bass
Violin in his father's orchestra. He
was a member of the Harden Bowl-
ing Club.
During the late Mr. Connor's ill-
ness he was frequently visited by
the Rev. Fr. Casey.
The remains were take to St.
Anthony's Church, Harden, from
whence the funeral moved on Wed-
nerdy afternoon to the Catholic
portion of the Murrumburrah Ceme-
very, the Rev. Fr. Casey officiation
at the grave.
