The death has taken place of one of the best-known business men in the West Waterford area in the person of Mr. James Hornibrook, Roseville, Lismore. A native of Kilpatrick, Bandon. Co. Cork, the late Mr. Hornibrook had over the past decade, conducted a most extensive motor engineering works in Lismore. His immediate surviving relatives are -
Mrs. C. Hornibrook . (widow); William and James (sons); Mrs. Bryan, Mrs. Dowd. Mrs. Parker, and Miss Esther Hornibrook (daughters), Miss Constance Hornibrook (sister)
The interment took place at Lismore. Very Rev. Gilbert Mayes. Dean o( Lismore officiated.

Hornibrooks Garage was founded In 1945 by the late Mr. James Hornibrook (Snr.) in Tallow. Co. Waterford and subsequently in Lismore and was solely run by him until his death in 1963 when it was then taken over by his son Mr. James Hornibrook Jnr.
In 1973 the franchise for Main Dealership of Toyota for Co. Waterford was acquired, in the first year of its dealership there was 15 new cars sold and it has grown from strength to strength to the present day figure of 250-300 cars annually.
Hornibrooks Garage (Lismore) Ltd. Is headed by Mr Jim Hornibrook, Managing Director and his work team is as follows:
In Sales - Mr. John Foley of Dungarvan who is well known in motoring circles In West Waterford and East Cork.
Spare Parts;. Manager, Stan Hornibrook (son of Jim Hornibrook).
Workshop is In the very capable hands of Mr Thomas Twomey, James Coleman and William Hornibrook (brother of Jim).
Panel Shop Foreman is Mr. John Coughlan.
Our Office staff Is headed by Company Secretary, Esther Hornibrook (sister of Jim) and Jacinta Crowley.
