The Times Record - Troy N.Y. 2 Sep 1958 James Canfield, DPW Employe For 25 Years Dies James Canfield an employe of the Troy Department of Public Works for 25 years be- fore his retirement two years ago, died yesterday at the Nightingale Nursing Home after a short illness. Mr Canfield was born in Ire- land but resided in Troy all of his life. For many years he resided in the Central section and attended St. Peter's Church. For the last 12 years he re- sided at 8 Kinloch Ave. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of its Holy Name Society. He was the husband of the late Margaret Walsh Canfield. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Thomas F Styles of Troy and two grandchildren, Susan and Thomas Styles, also of this city. The Funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Thomas A Styles Funeral Home, 507 4th St., and at 9:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Church where a Solemn Requiem Mass will be celebrated.
