Notes |
- Grandfather had a brother who was fairly tall, he was a general foreman and as far as I know he was over in the St Finbarrs Cathedral, he worked on that he was a general foreman as far a I can gather that was years ago and I was very young I heard that. Timmie Falvey 13 Jan 2006 So this means that Thomas and Jane could have had another child apart from Daniel who lived into adulthood. So check this out further.
Daniel and Mary Falvey died both were alive in 1936 and they were both alive well after that Mary Falvey (b 1936) must have been a teenager when they died. Daniel nor Mary Donovan never married twice neither of them. Patrick the Blacker was born in 1912, there were three older children than him his parents were 28 when he was born. The family lived in Johns Square when the Blacker was young lad off Gerald Griffin st. Daniel was 8-10 years younger than Patrick, Michael was the baby of the family he is dead now, he would be about 80 now so would have been born around 1925.

Danno had a big family and of them Tommy and Daniel and were called the "Blackers", because of their colouring
(Paddy) the Blacker had nine boys and one girl.
Tommy died over in England he was in the army
Dad (Thomas Falvey 1928-1995) used to visit his two step uncles in Douglas as they used to give him a couple of pence per visit .
One of either Timmie or Danno was working for Sisks and the Sisk's didn't like smoking at work. One day the Foreman said to him, "turn out your pipe" as Seanie Sisk was on the job and he did he threw the pipe into the concrete pour as they were working on the City Hall. So there is a Falvey pipe in the foundations of the City hall for the benefit of future generations.
