Hi Matt;
Here is the information you requested. I was born in Corbett's Lane,
Cork in 1932. No memory of Corbett's Lane or being born for that matter. The
only place I remember living was 32 Fair Hill, now demolished to make way
for a new road. After a little stint in England I returned to Cork and
immigrated from there to Toronto. After doing the usual traveling around
Canada and the U.S. I arrived in San Francisco in 1959 with the intention of
going on to New Zealand and Australia. I kinda stumbled and got hooked on
Kitty Pigott which put an end to the rambling. We were married in Saint
Agnes Church in San Francisco on December 30th. 1960. Do the math matt, 45
years yesterday. Good luck with your project cous, a lot of them (us) left a
lot to be desired. Can't say that though about your grandfather (DOONEY) or
your dad (great boxer) or Michael. My good friend (John The Man) was a riot
to be around until the demon rum got to him. Sorry to hear they are all gone
R.I.P. All the best for the coming year and regards to your family. I am
attaching a picture, it should open without a problem.
Sincerely, John Falvey - 2 Jan 2006
