Lizzie had said to Mom that Michael was the third Michael that she had. Now I am not sure if the first two were actually born or miscarried. Worth having a look at.
Lizzie Mahony was my God mother and when Jimmy died, she left the kids with Mary and went over to England to work and she got a fierce head ache, it was a brain haemorrhage she got. Wasn't that an awful thing to happen to her. When I look back they had such big families and everything and my Mom had me when she was 38, but you look at them and even though they were young, they looked a lot older than they were or that we would look now a their age as people at 49 now are so well cared for they don't look their age at all. I think they had hard lives and too many children, not enough money. Lily Falvey
Lizzie died in Leamington and the coffin was driven to Fishguard for transfer on the Innisfallen to Cork. Her coffin was bought to the North Cathedral and then she was buried the following day after this. So she could not have been buried on the 26th Dec 1957 as per St Joseph's burial Index.
