Marion died on December 1st 1965 aged 23 years. Marion was ill from 14 until she died.- Grace O'Brien
Marion had lots of family on the Desmond side. she was very great with all her own family she had lots of family and all the Aunties were all about the young one as Marion was the only child. Marion was full of confidence. I can see her now she used to come up to our house and she was learning tap dancing and she used to tap dance for us, she was real confident. She was very like her mother, She got rheumatic fever and then it weakened her heart and then she died when she was about 20. You see she was engaged to get married thought she never would have married cause she was ill. But she was engaged to a chap and she was very out going but very frail. She got rheumatic fever when she was very young about 10 and she was years then not well, but good, she went out and enjoyed her self. But then she just went down hill I would say heart failure really. The rheumatic fever weakened her heart.

R.I.P. Funeral on to-morrow (Friday) morning after 10 o'clock Requiem Mass at the Cathedral to St. Finbarr's Cemetery.
