- Nickname "Papples blessing" as when he got married he was telling everyone that he had received the papples blessing instead of the Papal Blessing Nicknamed by Dooney (James Falvey)
The family moved to the Southside around 1949. We left the Northside of the city for the Southside when I was 9 years of age, when I got married I lived in Togher and then decided to move to the country.

Falvey (Cork): On May 23, 2004, peacefully, in the tender and loving care of nurses and staff of St. Stephen's Ward, St. Finbarr's Hospital, PATRICK (mason), Laburnum Lawn, Wilton, dearly loved husband of Ann (Nan) (nee O'Rourke) and loving father of Marie, Pat, Tony and the late John. Sadly missed by his loving wife and family, sisters, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Lying in repose at the Wilton Funeral Home, Sarsfield Road of Jerh O'Connor Ltd. Rosary on this (Monday) evening at 8pm. Removal on tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7.30pm to Church of the Holy Spirit, Dennehy's Cross. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am. Funeral afterwards to St. Finbarr's Cemetery.
